i relearned casting gel yesterday. the last time i cast a gel was 2+ yrs ago, i cant even rmb what's the basic step anymore. while waiting for the gel to set, i had morning tea. oh did i mention? there's morning tea! @ ~10-11am. lunch is around 1pm. and afternoon tea is about 3-4pm. i have my breakfast before i leave home, @ ~830am. and my dinner's ~6-7pm. yea. i'm literally eating the whole day.

one of the prof in this lab is a vet surgeon. so its pretty cool. he has a dog, which he brings into work. its a great dane. so yesterday he wanted to go out of office for some outdoor work, but he needed to talk to his students, he just walked the dog into the student room and i just ogled. not at him but at him. yea i meant the dog. hahaha. the joys of working in the department of vet med, with so many vets around.

seeing that its summer now, everyone's feeling warm. the german woman next to me wears this really thin shirt and shorts, and im wrapped up in a shirt, jeans and a jacket. she was telling me "its REALLY warm in here" and i just hurhurhur at her. =__=

i observed electron microscopy work today. its SO cool. cool to the max. and i sectioned frozen tissues today. which is VERY COOL too. its like so easy to mount on the slides, because u just rest the slides against the sections and they melt and stick! they were frozen at -80deg and i was sectioning them with my hands in the -17deg chamber, so my hands were pretty much frozen.

i'm so tired everyday. learning a lot of new things and attempting to read the papers to no avail. the masters program has sent us reading list for the summer, which is crazily long and i haven't started on any one yet. i might take gre bio, and i haven't started studying for it too. walk abit too much everyday, especially since my ankle is about 90% healed only, so my ankle's acting up too. i know i know. life seems great but im like picking on things to complain. blehs.
