being bored/roasted out of my mind at home, i have been looking at flu news.
seems to me, local cases are rising, in maju camp [saf starts stepping up measures], and unlinked cases. read: unlinked. so there's community spread.
then i thought of me coming back early for a worse-than-useless meeting with my prof, and going into self-quarantine by nus/moe "advice". i really should have postponed my flight, and politely tell my prof that i cant make it because i need to errrr, rest/un-lag myself at home for 7 days. well. resting overseas is still considered resting right.
and i wonder how accurate are the tests, how sensitive and how specific are the tests. the false positives that could have arose. but i shant let those clutter my mind.
i still have anterior cingulate cortex, septohippocampal regions and lotsa rubbish that i need to unclutter, to store in my amygdala.
my prof has gone away for his lovely holidays, happily telling me that any questions, he's able to answer them more than a month later. or alternatively i can ask my direct supervisor. who is currently not replying my email by the way. so i havent settle my schedule, i dunno when i will be trained in observing how the rats scratch themselves and show their agitation upon my nociceptive stimulus. i have no idea how to do the brain surgery nor kill the rats to take slides of their puny brains. oh but of course, i need to take some sort of animal course before i can handle the rats. and thats in.. a month's time. meanwhile, im wasting my time reading articles and not comprehending them, then rereading till i give up.

i wondered if there are more problems in the world now because the populations are getting so huge that many forces of natural selection can act. plus people upseting the balance in nature, creating all sorts of climate changes [why do i not rmb sg being this hot?] kays. im crapping.
