i've been reading about neurobiology of memory. partly for my assignment, but mostly for my interest.
and then i suddenly have this strong fear. what if i lose my synaptic plasticity? what if i lose my medial temporal lobe, my hippocampus, my amygdala, my fornix? will i forget everything?
will i forget my fear, my odd habits, my unhappiness?
can i selectively pick synapses to alter? and leave only happiness?
when i read more about pain and memory, probably i can start to come up with a hypothesis, for why pain is often used as a motivational push, and how it is stored in the memory. im so tired. can i use a rational, scientific reason to explain that too? safer if i can.
