recently we were taught extended family in french [before this, we only know siblings and parents].
belle = beautiful
beau = handsome
mère = mother
père = father
belle-mère = mother-in-law
beau-père = father-in-law
we thought this is very cute!
so we asked the lecturer how to say beautiful mother-in-law and handsome father-in-law,
and she said "belle belle-mère; beau beau-père!!" haha. ultra cute.

im reminded of the fragility and unpredictability of life today when a friend of my sister's was suddenly warded in hospital and announced brain dead.
it makes me have the urge to be impulsive, because i dont know what will happen tomorrow, or days/months/years later.
