I believe in angels,
The kind that heaven sends,
I am surrounded by angels,
But I call them friends.

kids say the darnest things
- 일요일, 11월 23, 2008 -

I am rather scared of little children. Because I don’t have the patience to cover the basics, things that we have took for granted and have no explanations for. How does one go about explaining “I am, you are, he is, we are, it is, she is”? and phonics. How do you explain how you pronounce in-ter-est-ing, and vege-ta-bles? How do you teach them the key to succeeding in spelling?

I realize that maths is indeed a universal language. I have this really really handsome little prince in my class, and he’s amazingly shy.

*pull at my ears* “what are these?”

smiles charmingly at me.

Sighs inwardly. And my eager little princesses “MISS LEEEEEEEEE!! Earssssssssss!!!”

But he’s amazingly quick in maths, and makes me extremely happy when he does his maths, considering how he didn’t know how to write the numerals 3wks ago.

Then I have my older princesses, who WERE amazingly quiet. But they have started to open up recently, by starting to negotiate with me. And whisper behind a big dictionary just so I wont hear their contents. I had to control my crazy urge to laugh. There’s a charming prince too, who hasn’t been appearing these two weeks, and made the princesses really happy.

Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.
