The kind that heaven sends,

But I call them friends.

thanks lixiang! haha..its amazing how the disgusting tasting cough syrup, plus really yummy tasting soothers work for my throat..i can stop whispering now! was talking to tobias just now, so he very nicely asked how was i, and i answered by saying "u can hear me now isnt it?" then he was like "OH YEA!" haha!!

anyway! a long overdued post of salisbury and bath.

07 mar friday

set off on a coach from london victoria to salisbury. i was carrying the smallest bag among the 3 of us -__- haha! this shows that girls can travel light too! the coach reach salisbury later than expected, and we found out that we missed the last bus to stonehenge! had to take cab which cost us 15pounds per person for a return trip to stonehenge :( and by the time we reach there, the stonehenge was closing in minutes, and we actually had to pay to go in, so we decided not to pay and stand outside taking photos entertaining ourselves..

maybe its because we were standing outside, so we didnt find stonehenge all that spectacular. instead i found the huge open spaces with lotsa sheeps extremely soothing and really nice to see, so i took alot alot of photos of those huge spaces..

oh the cab driver was scary too! his eyes kept drooping while driving us, we were debating whether to chat with him to keep him wide awake when driving through those turns and loops..HAHA..anyway we were all in one piece when we return to salisbury..walked around, checked out the cathedral which is really old and has that really nice old atmosphere/smell/whatever you call it..

saw a rainbow while walking to someplace for food and a very hungry guoyuan wants to eat it:

had dinner at wetherspoons, the 3 of us shared 4 main courses, cuz 2 main courses cost 7.50pounds, while other ala carte 1 main course cost the same as the 2 main courses bundle, so as a typical singaporean traveling on a budget, we decided to have 4 main courses..freaking full after that..

this really funny waiter was serving us, urging us to finish all up and not to leave anythg behind. when we were leaving, we took a photo with him. he shook hands with all of us, then he kissed me on my cheek! HAHAHA..stunned diaos..didnt know how to respond..HAHA..

we were having fun playing with the sauces available! we tried ALL the sauces and this is one of our crazy photos:

oh and have u noticed we cleared our food? there's more craziness to come!

played daidee and bridge with the two guys, won by luck afew times..i cant even rmb in which game i won afew times, i keep confusing the two..had to keep asking which suit is the biggest..i tink its bridge i won afew times -__-" i'm a noob..

oh and we love the hotel room! its so spacious! there's two single beds, and one bed that we unfold from the couch. all of us thought the couch bed would be small, so i was like telling the two guys i wan the single bed..hahaha! then when we unfold the couch, its actually really big! like a queen size bed, so i took that..HEEHEE..oh and just like singaporeans, we kind of kope the small sachets of instant coffee and tea back..HAHAHA..

08 mar sat

On the way to Bath, saw alot of sheeps! and lots of big big spaces..talked alot to ives on the bus too..would say i got to understanding both ives and guoyuan much more on the trip..a trip of revelations!
reached Bath in one piece and started to plan our routes..so we thought we would head to the Roman Bath spas, we saw the admission fees, and decided to admire the water through windows, take enough photos, and exit out of the building..HAHAHA..

had lunch at macs, dunno what food is special in bath, and the two guys decided with the cheapest food. anyway we realised that the macs student deal in uk and in sg is different! in sg, student meals are cheaper than EVM, but in uk, u buy EVM, and if u say u are a student, they will give u a free cheeseburger, or hamburger, or a sundae on top of your EVM..

took long long walks through Bath, we walked to Jane Austen Centre, i got some jane austen postcards for myself as keepsakes..haha..i wan to read her books and watch the movies based on her books! better clear my work so i have time to watch :)

we walked to the royal crescent, wowed over the architecture, but was tired, and cold in the rain, so we sat down at some pavilion had apples and strawberries..but the strawberries were sour, so we were trying to clear it by playing games..first we had the 成语 game, one say the first 成语, the next must continue with the last word of the 成语..ives think the game aint fun, since he had penalty in the first game already..so we changed to sing songs with animals in it, and singing that particular line with the animal..suddenly chickens, doves, tortoises, fishes, worms and all were sung out..then we changed to thinking of countries names in alphabetical order..that was difficult..i ate quite a number of sour strawberries..we continued playing even after we finished the strawberries, like thinking of flower names in alphabetical order, that i easily triumphed them! HAHA..flowers! :)

At the Bath botanic gardens we went crazy there too! the guys decided to act cool, and i decided to show my ny heritage -__-

oh! there was a squirrel that kept running in a straight line at high speed after me and guoyuan in the botanic gardens..i think its running after guoyuan more likely since guoyuan was holding to a bag of fruits while i have no food on me at all! then we played on swings, flying fox, climb up and down at the children's playground!

had chicken and leek cornish pastry on the way back to london:

are u salivating?

to end off, here's a really nice shot i took :)

back to my lab report! i'm so going to finish it within these two days so i can pack for my trip and leave on 15th! excited!
