21st thurs


was still awake at 3am, because we were trying to see the full lunar eclipse because i have never seen an eclipse before, and i'm very keen on doing crazy things in london as much as possible! at 2am, we saw a really bright moon out of my window, which reminds me of mid autumn festival [MOONCAKES!] ok my thoughts cant deviate from food..anyway we left my room at 3am, made hot drinks [yummy milo! hee] and wore my coat and thick cute woolly socks and start staring at the dark dark cloudy gloomy skies..took a full turn around the house before we spotted the moon, which started to look like its been eaten up [mooncake again..yum] anyway it was quite a disappointment, i dont see much of a difference, but i was super tired already! we left after deciding its hopeless..so i went to bed at like 4am...supposed to wake at 7.30am to pack my small hand carry luggage and go for lecture..but i ended up skipping the lecture..HEEHEEHEE..

anyway took the 1.5hr coach from central london to london stansted airport..super tired and dozed like nobody's business on the coach, got to the airport and i followed the crowd to the terminal..heehee..then i kinda got disoriented, i checked in online already, so i dont need to queue up, but if i enter the departure hall, then i will not be able to come out..but of course one can reason i dont need to come out..ok circular argument, ignore sokee..anyway the boarding pass didnt specify which gate i'm supposed to go to, and i'm early by 3hrs, so i seriously became detritus [i.e. i rotted] ok anyway i walked around, shopped around, laughed to myself, basically acted like a lunatic, ate sandwich, read 'blink' and stoned..london stansted is like a budget airport, abit like our budget terminal in sg, only this is very much more massive, there's 99gates [so that means 99 airplanes can fly at any one go] bigger, more duty free shops [meaning lotsa chocolates] flying alone is not a bad thg, the flight is only about 1hr, passed by very quickly, read 'blink' dozed off and on..what amazed me is the air stewardess!! i couldnt squeeze bag into the overhead compartment, so the air stewardess [in a skirt and all] just levered herself at a seat, and then both her feet are on the two aisle seats and she's taller than everyone, then she stuck my bag in, and hopped down..i tink my jaw must have dropped too much cuz she grinned at me..haha..to think sg air stewardesses, ppl look so graceful, put things in gracefully and u noe, make me feel like i'm a clumsy duckling..HAHAHA..


reached glasgow airport, no customs to speak of, since i'm doing domestic flight, went out in 5minutes, and caught the bus alr..saw shimin at buchanan bus interchange..so HAPPY!! heehee..chatted non stop..yadayadayada! had some chinese dinner cuz its 15th day of CNY, so had some sorta feast, chinese takeaway..got shown around her hall, got a mini library for self study [really good envt], common room with foosball table [we played foosball, and i got reminded of the times in HC, like using the foosball to decide whether to go for chem s paper lessons], played pool with shimin [and making all kinda funny mistakes]..and had an amazing shower in a claustrophobic place..hahaha..with shimin standing outside half chatting to me..i love even this small experience! HAHAHA..

shared the bed with shimin! HAHAHAHAHA..

22nd fri

woke up at 7am with 4 alarms, two rang 10minutes to 7, two rang at 7am..sure to wake -_-" HEE..had a stressful breakfast trying to escape the sharp eyes of those hawks at the canteen, since i'm not entitled to free meals..haha..but thanks alot to shimin, and her two friends [yelin and jean nee] so we got breads for lunches etc, and hot sausage, hashbrown, baked beans, cereal, hot chocolate for myself!! haha..


then we set off into cold glasgow! its actually not that cold one, its just the strong winds and the rain..the winds made it hard for me to open mouth and talk la! anyway we went botanic gardens! very pretty:























































and it reminds us of singapore which is tropical and warm! with pretty pitcher plants..





























because of the greenery, the humidity and the more than 20deg celcius temperature inside the main house hosting all these ferns and tropical plants!

then we headed over to this glasshouse called the kibble palace..OMG its super nice can! u enter and u will breathe in super fresh air that is really reviving..i love the place!















and of course not to mention we meet this really cute new friend:

head to uni of glasgow, really very pretty, saw lotsa things, including the castle looking building, looking over kelvingrove park, and river kelvin running through the park..we went to the museum of transport, saw all kinds of transportation: land transport which includes vehicles, horse carriages, caravans, bicycles, tricycles, motorcycles, buses, trains..its amazing!
and of course, we cant help showing our tong2 zhen1:















bought some liquer which will be sent over to london so that i can packed into my luggage to bring back to sg as souvenirs from scotland..

crashed shimin's medicine lecture on contraception..got divided into groups..one of the most memorable events, the demostrator whipped out an erect penis model, and a condom. passed to the first person in the group. basically the story of how to wear the condom just unwraps [no pun intended] as the penis model and the condom got passed down the group. shimin somehow just guessed when it reached her, she will be wearing it on the model..when it reached me, the demostrator asked me what did i see in the condom so i said there's a tip -__- then the demonstrator was like yaaaa? i yaaa back silently.. then she said "squeezed the tip" then i orh, and do what she said, then she asked me why, and question marks popped on my head..haha..then a guy said cuz the tip will burst when the act is being carried out [ok now we errr..know he's knowledgeable] anyway when its shimin's turn, she's supposed to help to wear that condom on that model [shimin got superb intuition], then its passed to the next girl, the demonstrator asked her what happened next, the girl's response "then they have fun"

oh just now in the common room, a group of girls walked past, then i exclaimed "i smell those chinese dried sour plums!!" then very excited, cuz once u smell sth u used to smelling in sg, u just feel like eating it..then we giggle and wonder why the girl is wearing said perfume and i said "helps to increase appetite of...errrr..people [boys] around her" haha..then minutes later, a guy wearing only a bathrobe, showing a big gap of his hairy chest walked in, and shimin start tellin me in chinese to pull at his robe tie cuz he's naked, so we can have a lesson in anatomy..of.........

ADIPOSE TISSUES LA!~ what are u all thinking?
