friday
went imperial war museum, didnt really take photos..i find the weapons of destruction and other pictures and stories disturbing..most of those soldiers are so young!

decided to leave guoyuan behind in his holocaust exhibition, and went to shop for groceries with raquel..walked to elephant and castle, shopped at the big tesco and the big iceland there.. [those are names of the supermarkets] haha..we bought lotsa rubbish! i bought cheap cheap pizzas in times when i'm lazy to cook and i can just oven [i love the oven] pizza..haha..

then raquel cooked porkchop rice..its super super good! the porkchop was dipped in egg, then rolled around in breadcrumbs and doink into hot oil..the rice was fried with eggs and sweet peas..then there's the tomato sauce that raquel made too..basically she done the cooking and she even taught me how to roll the pork chops really well in breadcrumbs..now i sound like a total idiot in cooking -__-" but the end results is really good! we ate it with my bottle of russet apple juice..yum..

ended the day playing mahjong!! haha..two neighbours from upstairs were playing mahjong, they asked raquel, raquel asked me..HAHA..anyway me and raquel tried to play it properly, but the other two will like anyhow win..i dunno how to phrase this in english..but basically they win without any combos..haha..so they win very quickly, theres this game where we only went through our turns two rounds, and one of them won..i tell u, i super sian diao la! haha..but still got mahjong better than no mahjong..

then me and raquel had rhubarb crumble before we went to sleep..snacking on desserts before sleep..sigh...so great!!! HAHA..

saturday
5th feb tues is the actual pancake day, but me, mel and guoyuan decided to celebrate it in the weekends where all of us are free-er..we bought ready made pancakes AND the pancake mix..the ready made pancake is of course, super simple, dump into the toaster and hot pancakes popped up..the pancake mix was.....hahaha..rather difficult to cook, melissa kind of charred afew pancakes since the pan isnt nonstick and the pancake sticked to the pan and get thoroughly charred..then i cooked what i cooked best - scrambled eggs..AHAHA..i dumped so much ham in it, they say its not ham in eggs, they call it eggs in ham...RARR..i love eggs! maybe i should make scrambled eggs sandwich ltr..HMMMS..


























then we went to strand, covent garden, walked around a fair bit, before meeting up with ives and another guy from nus on exchange here..the guy is in year three and life science too!! i can pronounced his name but i cant spell it..it sounds like ark-shay..which essentially means there's 5 of us nus students in total on exchange here..then we took a bus to portobello market..took us an hr to get there..portobello is madness..its really big and it sells all kinda rubbish..clothes wise, not very wise to get it at portobello cuz the clothes sold there looks like what is sold in asia [thailand and singapore] and we could easily get it MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper in thailand..

i ended up buying food rather than anythg else! bought cookies [AGAIN] and fudge [AGAIN] haha..i dont care..LALALALALA..

wanted to roast chicken drumsticks and my left over potatoes for dinner..and guess what? ALL my potatoes have budded..they are practically brimming with LIFE! so i dumped them away -__- and had to cook rice in the end to eat with my nicely marinated drumsticks..haha..

then raquel came to find me and we played ds again..i think i play ds more here than in sg.. -__-"

today's sunday and i'm slacking! and just a wee bit down..
