went to this really great place at camden town tube station, there's camden market, inverness market, camden lock etc there.. A HUGE number of shops with lotsa clothes, accessories, food [especially chocolates, fudge and gummies] and discount book stores. i assumed my bus will take a long time but in the end i reached half an hr earlier than the meeting time, and i spend that whole half an hr in the discount book store..3 books for 5pounds is like a super good deal la, but i couldnt make up my mind which 3 books, and the books i was contemplating were books i read before, i just wanted to collect them -__-" so i didnt buy any in the end..hahaha..i'm extremely proud of my items of conquest!!!
1) boots for 20pounds.. its waterproof [i just tested it today by stepping accidentally into a puddle] and it keeps my feet warm when there's strong winds.. unlike my holey sports shoes..
2) a tote bag that has london newspapers etc printed on it for 8pounds [the uncle was very nice! i forgot where he's from but he's chinese, so he gave us the "chinese" price]
3) a very pretty pullover for 6pounds..
4) very nice fudge!
when i'm going back singapore i will go back to camden lock to buy those fudge back home, its really good [and very affordable]! there's like jamaica rum and baileys flavour and etc etc etc..but the lady has a very bad attitude.. -__- nvm, fudge more impt..

went to walk around london with ives and melissa..we walked past big ben and e houses of parliament, then we walked to westminster abbey and explored parts of it inside..went into the westminster abbey museum, and read abit of those history and saw effigies of the royal family..no ideas why, but i feel kind of sad for these people i read about on those descriptions..
walked to buckingham palace from the westminster, there wasnt much to see as it was a sunday, so basically we just took random photos, then we walked past st james park which is nearby, had fun feeding the geese, looked at swans and proud pelicans who like to strut and pose for the cameras and the visitors..then from there, we walked past the strand and back towards home..as you read that we walk, these places aint particularly close to each other, but yea, save money u noe..
mon 14/01
a supremely long day with molecular bio practical..actually it was just the waiting time, you know, incubation 1 hr here and there..i enjoyed myself for this module, i'm glad i picked this module over the protein structure which i WAS planning to take with ives..because its practical, you get to have lab partners and u sit in groups around a table, so people at the table get to know each other very well, which means i made 7 friends today! [4 pairs around one table] my lab partner is very nice! she's called hira, and she tells me where else to explore in london, she recommended nottinghill..
oh and i made a sandwich which i brought to school for lunch today, i'm glad i made the sandwich, cuz hira tells me canteen food isnt nice, i wouldnt want to try and its too expensive anyway, cheapest meal is jacket potato with cold serving for 1.95pound..my whole sandwich is cheaper than that, AND because i made it myself, i tink its yummier..HAHAHA..ego ego..
steps to making sokee sandwich:
1) marinate the chicken with oyster sauce, paprika and whatever spices..
2) oven the chicken
3) toast the bread
4) put a slice of cheese on a bread, and grill it till the cheese melt
5) assemble everythg into a sandwich
6) bacause i'm lazy, i didnt cut the tomatoes, so the cherry tomatoes i put beside the sandwich. as one desire, one may eat one cherry tomato and one mouthful of the sandwich, it will taste about the same as tomatoes IN the sandwich
pictures up on shutterfly already! and link on my blog :)
